Performing and Visual Arts

Creativity is a vital skill for the future, enabling students to think, problem solve and create and develop new things using their knowledge.

In addition to Visual Arts, Performing Arts builds confidence, self discipline and communication skills.

The school places a strong focus on learning curiosity and creativity through a range of learning experiences.

Art

The Arts Centre is a large, bright learning space which enables students to undertake their art activities both indoors and outdoors. The area also incorporates a passive art learning space, an electronic whiteboard, access to technology resources and art gallery area where the children's work is displayed.

School Concert

The Annual School Concert provides every student with the opportunity to dance, act and sing on a stage in front of a large audience. The concert is held in December each year and the children practise the song and dance routines throughout the year.

Junior Music

Our Early Years students enjoy participating in musical activities through a specialist program and within the classroom.

Circus Skills

Senior students enjoy the opportunity to be part of the school Circus Troupe, performing at the Geelong Music Festival and other community events. The students learn some amazing skills through this program as well as how to work together as a team.

Auslan Signing Choir

Many students enjoy the opportunity to develop their Auslan signing skills whilst practising and performing in the school Auslan signing choir. The choir performs at community events, the annual School Concert and for our full School Assemblies.

Djembe Drum Group

The Djemebe drum group consists of student of various ages who are interested in joining the weekly drum workshops at lunchtime. They perform at various school events and the school concert.
